The McMichael Gallery is located in the village of Kleinburg, just minutes north of Toronto. Beyond the signature fieldstone gates, you will find four floors of gallery and program space, including the Library and Archives, the Gallery Shop, and a restaurant – all surrounded by 100 acres of beautiful conservation land which you can explore through a network of paths and trails.

Purchase your tickets at the McMichael Gallery ticket counter or online. Parking is available on site for $5. McMichael members park for free.
Accessibility
- All our galleries and facilities are wheelchair accessible.
- A wheelchair-accessible washroom is located on every floor.
- People with reduced mobility can take advantage of one outdoor wheelchair accessible trail with a hand railing.
- Admission is free for attendants who accompany a person who requires assistance.
People who are visually impaired should note that certain gallery spaces are dimly lit, in order to protect some of the light-sensitive works in the collection.
Getting Here by Car
The gallery is easily accessed from highways 400, 401, 407 and 427.
To reach the gallery from Hwy. 401:
Take Hwy. 400 north to Major Mackenzie Drive.
Turn left (west) on Major Mackenzie Drive to Islington Avenue.
Turn right (north) on Islington Avenue to the village of Kleinburg.
To reach the Gallery from Hwy. 407:
Take highway 400 north to Major Mackenzie Drive.
Turn left (west) on Major Mackenzie to Islington Avenue.
Turn right (north) on Islington Avenue into the village of Kleinburg.
To reach the Gallery from the QEW:
Take Hwy. 427 north till highway ends at Hwy. 7.
Turn right (east) on Hwy. 7.
Turn left (north) on Hwy. 27 (the second set of traffic lights).
Turn east (right) to Major Mackenzie Drive.
Turn left (north) at Islington Avenue at the first set of traffic lights into the village of Kleinburg.
Use the Toronto (TTC) and York Region (YRT) public transit systems to get to The McMichael.
Take the #37 TTC bus North from Islington Subway to Steeles Avenue. At Steeles, transfer to YRT bus #13A to Kleinburg. (Note: The #13A does not run on weekends, and only offers morning and evening service on weekdays.)
